A drive

This morning Rowan went out to do a bit of tree surgery – sawing off some dead and low branches from the apple trees in the garden. Sophie helped with dyeing some fleeces and then washed some woollen yarn from the sheep here which had been processed at a mill. By lunchtime we’d finished, so after a trip to the supermarket and the mall, our hosts lent us their car.
We drove to the nearby provincial park and walked along the beach. There was an apple tree growing just by the beach, which we ate apples from (not quite ripe, but still nice). The beach was huge but almost completely empty. Then we drove to the top of the mountain behind and stopped at “Look Off”, a viewpoint at the top. There was a great view of the valley, and we could see the farm clearly.
