Sheep may safely graze
Today we started off doing a bit more clearing up in the barn, then Sophie weeded the paddock while Rowan helped put up a fence in the sheep pasture. They made a new, smaller sheep pasture within the old field to stop the sheep escaping and because the sheep are fed hay in the winter so they don't need the whole field. Rowan had quite a satisfying day, as the job was finished and no-one told him to take it down and start again. It was (again) very hard work though – carrying heavy rolls of fencing and driving in fence posts. Later in the afternoon Rowan helped drive the sheep into the new pasture, by standing in a gap to discourage the sheep from escaping that way. They have a border collie for herding and an Anatolian shepherd dog for guarding the sheep.
